Emily Rahman leads the Academic Partnership portfolio within Enterprise Data & Artificial Intelligence (EDAI) at American Express, overseeing the end-to-end strategy and execution of the firm’s university collaborations and ensuring enterprise alignment across high-impact use cases spanning Technology, Legal, Marketing, and other business units.

She plays a key role in scaling and strengthening American Express’ academic ecosystem, expanding partnerships with leading institutions including MIT, Stanford, Arizona State University, IIT Mandi, and IIT Chennai. Emily sets the research strategy across these engagements, focusing on frontier domains such as responsible AI innovation and Quantum research to drive enterprise value.

She partners closely with senior technology leadership to shape long-term collaboration roadmaps and has broadened the portfolio to include technology policy and thought leadership initiatives, representing American Express at global forums and enhancing the firm’s visibility across the AI landscape.
