Jason Barrett
Director, Technology
Jason leads the Technology Data and Business Intelligence team. This team is responsible for the official Technology availability scorecard and includes driving results to achieve our availability targets. This has been achieved through multiple programs aimed at reducing recurring failures in our customer journeys, reductions in change failures, and initiatives to reduce mean time to recovery. His team is also responsible for the Technology Customer Journey Program which has onboarded over 65 customer journeys representing experiences for our Card Members, Merchants, and Colleagues since its inception.
Jason has been with Amex for 29 years. He started in HR and quickly moved into Technology after discovering a passion for engineering. Since then, he has held several positions in technology in Application Development, Security, Site Reliability, and Application Support roles.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys traveling and exploring new places with his wife off the beaten path. He also enjoys spending time with his family, especially his kids and grandson.
